In November of 2016 our family received the most devastating news that my sister Sherlyn at the very young age of 34 had been diagnosed with Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a rare, aggressive form of cancer that primarily develops in the lining of the lungs or the abdomen. For anyone that has gone through or knows someone that has gone through battling any form of cancer, you are probably aware that medical insurance only goes so far. Unfortunately, it is a rather big hurdle that we would sincerely appreciate your help in conquering.
Sherlyn is a mother to two beautiful young boys Devin & Aiden and loving wife to Alex. She is a Daughter, a sister and a friend to many. Her essence can simply be understood by her selfless career in education and dedication to her community and the desire to mold young minds for the future.
She is currently at stage 4 and will have surgery on April 7th, 2017 in Baltimore, MD to remove tumors that have been found in an attempt to cut the cancer at its source and possibly extend her life expectancy.
While the support of her family and friends is what she swears will help get her by, the financial aspect will also be a big mountain to climb. Throughout the next few months, multiple fundraising efforts will be created for Sherlyn to cover the majority of these expenses. Your generous donations will help alleviate one less burden on Sherlyn as she continues her battle. We are going to do everything in our power to help Sherlyn beat this horrible disease. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued positivity, support and prayers. Updates will continue to be sent as they come in.
I ask that you please share Sherlyn’s story, and donate in any way you can to help my little sister kick cancer’s butt. THANK YOU ALL!!
