The Story

Deeply loved husband, father, family man and friend, Aaron Slade Wagoner passed from this life unexpectedly on September 22, 2017 while setting up the Crossroads Metaphysical Fair -Tulsa. Aaron was devoted to his family, friends and community. He loved fully, cherished every minute, and left this life far too soon. It feels impossible that he is gone.

Aaron was a wonderful provider, and took great pride in supporting his family financially, emotionally, and spiritually. He and his soulmate, Seraphina, own Crossroads Collective and traveled the region vending at many types of festivals. He did this along with his regular job. They are also co-founders of Crossroads Metaphysical Fair-Tulsa and that is where their passion lay. Aaron and Seraphina shared a vision of building a safe, inclusive community that would meet yearly in Tulsa and other cities to empower all who joined in. His family intend to continue Crossroads Metaphysical -Tulsa as Aaron's legacy.

The money raised here will go toward helping Aaron's family with immediate cremation expenses, as well as other obligations still ahead.  With the loss of the family's breadwinner, we want them to be able to face the early days of this loss without the added burden of financial worry,

Aaron will be missed, and he will never be forgotten. Thank you for helping his family during this devastating time.

Red Tape and Bureaucracy make this situation even more painful than it already is.  Aaron was a member of the Cherokee Nation. There is a death benefit to help with cremation or burial if the tribal member died on tribal ground. If not, they ask the tribe who's land the member died on to pay the death benefit. Tulsa is located in the Creek Nation. The Creek Nation informed us today that they don't have any money to pay and since Aaron died 9/22/2017, before their new fiscal year began,  10/01/2017, they won't pay the death benefit out of their new fiscal year.  The Cherokee Nation is also refusing to pay because the hospital was not on tribal land. This is shocking! Not everyone spends their time on tribal land. The family is already beginning to get medical bills and expect them to be in excess of $40,000.  These donations are really important and are being used for funeral expenses. legal and medical expense. Again, we really appreciate the donations and help.
