The Story

Hello - My name is Kevin.  Soon I will begin riding my bicycle from the Canadian Border down to the Mexican Border, through Washington, Oregon and California.  The bicycle tour is approximately 1,850 miles and my goal is to raise $1.00 per mile to help homeless and struggling people in Seattle, Washington.

Earlier this winter, I saw a Search and Rescue Van that had the word 'LOVE' on the side.  As my friend and I were heading to play dodgeball, a few people hopped out and greeted a group of homeless folks, offering up water, food and blankets and best of all love and open arms.  The folks they greeted were very excited to see them and it touched my heart to see their gratitude.  I was amazed at their efforts and how selfless these people are.  They were all volunteers, spending their quality time helping others in need.  I want to raise my money to support their mission, one that I deeply respect.

This is what is written on their website:  11,643 of our neighbors in King County are homeless. Every night, Search & Rescue vans drive to the darkest places in King County to hand out life-saving supplies and care to men and women.  Volunteers give wool blankets, food, water, and other supplies to our homeless neighbors and offer them the opportunity to come inside for a night of safe shelter at the Mission.  We also offer prayer and a listening ear. Regular volunteers extend their hands and hearts to build meaningful relationships with men and women who desperately need to connect in healthy, meaningful ways.

For those of you that don't know me.  Over the years I have raised a few thousand dollars to help the homeless in Seattle.  I have hand delivered many sleeping bags, tents, socks, beanies, gloves, tarps, rain coats and a couple thousand cheeseburgers to homeless folks around the city.  I don't live there anymore but upon a recent visit, I was reminded how many people need help and I really believe in the mission of the Seattle's Union Gospel Mission.

Your support would not only mean the world to me but will help change the world for others.  Any and all donations are helpful and I will be forever grateful for your contribution.

Life is all about love and compassion, that’s keep spreading it!

Thank you and keep the dream alive,

Kevin Conley
