Posted on November 24, 2016Dr Claire has seen the kitties and has some surprising news for us. Ace is adult, about a year old, and may never grow any bigger, through early malnourishment. He has no testicles, and this might be because they never descended. Both Kelly and Piper have earmites, which we are treating, and Claire says Piper's inturned eyelid might sort itself out, because this can happen, but she wants to see him and Ace in a month. Kelly will be losing his nuts on Monday, he is a good weight. He is suffering phantom limb syndrome where his tail has been amputated and has some loxicom to help. They are all eating well, and have been playing, and though Piper is very wary of humans, I did get a bit of a cuddle. Even if it was only because he was terrified of being at the vets!

Posted on November 23, 2016It was a bit of a nightmare, but the kittens are finally home, and thanks to lovely Harriet for driving them half way when her own kittens were stuck in administrative limbo. Piper is a bit shy about being photographed but Kelly and Ace have settled themselves in just dandy. Piper has taken over the bottom layer of the cat storage tower.

Posted on November 21, 2016The kittens are due to fly tomorrow and I'm really excited. We've covered the cost of the flight and I sold enough to cover their passports, but Piper may need an operation to correct ingrowing eyelashes, so I've left it open as I don't know how much this will be. I will also be neutering them and hope any small op can be performed at the same time to cause less distress, but until he has seen my vet, I can't know exactly what will be involved. So I've increased the fund raiser with that in mind. Tomorrow I'll be too bushed to share photos but hopefully on Wednesday there will be photos of Kitties at home.
