Help Keep Our Wild Horses Safe
Wild Horse Warriors for Sand Wash Basin is working to raise money for fencing in Sand Wash Basin, Colorado. Most of our Horse Management Area is fenced, but there are several sections that are not. Our first priority will be to fence the southern area of the HMA that borders Highway 318. Each year we have accidents involving some of the Wild Horses who wander onto the Highway. With your help we hope to keep the Wild Horses off Highway 318 and keep our visitors safe.
With over 500,000 followers of the Sand Wash Basin Wild Horses, locally, nationally and internationally, we can reach our goal. Even if we each just donate 1.00 it will build the fence on Highway 318. Colorado Department of Transportation does not have a final estimated cost, but a local contractor said he could do it for 14,000 per mile, there are 7 miles of fencing to be built. There are also grants that we can apply for, but we will still need to have matching funds.
TOGETHER WE CAN GET IT DONE
