Posted on March 15, 2016Hello everyone! Words can not describe the relief it was for Robin to recover from her cancer surgery free from financial stress, because of so many generous contributions (I took extra good care of her too)!. These past few months have been full of renewed health and productivity and she and I (Doggy Daisy) have been content with the present moment. But chemotherapy started a couple of weeks ago, and Robin is struggling with working in a career that requires a high amount of emotional presence and physical concentration. After two ER visits last week and some disabling bone pain, I have convinced Robin to reduce work to half time these few months. It took some convincing, because she is so uncomfortable asking for help, yet again. As for me, I really really need her to cut back on hours because she has no energy to play with me, and that is how I know how tired she is. When I ask her to play, by touching her with my paw, she just a pets me and says 'I am sorry buggsy, mama is too weak'. :(

Posted on December 6, 2015Me and my owner, and co-worker (I am a therapy dog, she is my assistant) Robin send loads of peace and equanimity to everyone, everywhere this Holiday season. And thanks from the bottem of our hearts for your assistance in this challenging time! Surgery date is scheduled for 12/15, and there will be some weeks of time off (without sick or disability pay, since we are self-employed). And than the medical bills will start piling up (because we are self-employed we have limited health insurance). Followed by multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. I need Robin to have as little stress as possible throughout all of this, and, while I don't understand these sorts of things very well, she tells me that these financial stressors are causing more stress than the Cancer! Please share with your network!
