On August 25, 2017 hurricane Harvey hit the Texas Coast displacing over 3,500 Port Aransas residents who refer to themselves as Portaransakins. Port Aransas has been the vacation spot to millions. Its the hospitality and kindness of the residents of this island that kept families coming back for generations. The Portaransakins no longer have a home to return to or business to open a door to welcome vacationers. Please consider helping this small community survive until they are able to open their doors, schools and hearts to welcome visitors back on their island. Remember they didn't just lose their homes they lost jobs when the business were demolished. Making house payments on homes that are no longer visible, purchasing gas to drive back and forth, paying cell phone bills on phones they need to communicate to re-build are all a necessity to them. All donations will go directly to residents to help rebuild their lives. Thank you in advance for your help and generosity.
