My father is an honorable man who not only served his country in the military, but also continues to serve the government as a civil servant for the last 15 years.
He served in the United States Army and retired after 24 years of service. He is the first to help someone and is the last to ask for assistance in a time of need. He has always been a very giving man who will assist anyone if possible and he is a very loving and caring person who assists many families at a moment's notice.
However, recently my father's entire home burned down and he lost everything he owned in the fire. He lost many sentimental items such as his Army Uniforms that he retired in, along with all his clothes, etc. He also lost his work uniforms and is literally without anything at this point. We are simply asking for assistance with a small portion of his basic needs so that he can buy the things he needs to live comfortably.
Please understand my father has absolutely nothing and he is too prideful to ask for assistance on his own so our family is coming together to do it for him. My father lives in Brooklyn, NY and it is very cold this time of year. The funds raised will be used to assist my father in buying clothes to keep him warm, food, and necessary items so that he can remain in his hotel room and get to work while this is being resolved.
I am humbly asking for assistance for my father who loves the people of our country and who has sacrificed so much of his time and continues to assist our nation.
