Regan ("ree-gan") Elizabeth Shetsky was taken from her family on January 4, 2017 when she was hit by a car in her nursery school parking lot. Regan was 3 years old, about to turn 4. This spunky, bubbly, and funny girl was loved by all who met her.
With her signature bow in her hair and a mischievous twinkle in her eye, Regan softened your heart with nothing but her smiling eyes. Her mama's "love bug" and her daddy's "sweetie pie", Regan's three years were filled with adventure and love as her parents, Kelly and Mark, made sure she experienced all the wonders of life. Regan was happiest with sand between her toes, laughing with her absolute best friend, her brother Gavin, and squealing "my turn!" She would be the first to jump in the water, race down the slide, or snuggle up on movie night.
Our fearless climber and strong independent girl, with friends everywhere, will never be forgotten. Look for her in rainbows, hear her in music, and feel her like sunshine.
Several projects are being planned in Regan's honor, including:
- A giraffe pavilion at The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango, NY
- Playground expansion at Holy Cross School in DeWitt, NY
- A memorial in Bolton Landing, NY
Our goal is to bring joy and happiness to as many children as possible. Please help us.
