Hi, my name is Red.
I am a Community Cat and I am sick. My doctor says I have very bad mange and an URI. I am also anemic, slightly underweight, and FIV+. That’s a lot for a guy to carry around.
Luckily there are some nice people looking after me, and they need some help. I call them my home people because they are the closest I have to a home, and their names are Annette and Doug. They worked really hard to trap me (watch the video!) I don’t like traps. I can’t tell you why because I’m a cat, but trust me, I don’t like traps, cages, or loud clangy things. Nope. I’m too smart for them (well, they did finally trick me, and that’s in the video, too, so watch it!)
My home people have a good friend at Alley Cat Rescue. They asked Alley Cat Rescue for help, and they offered to pay my vet bills up front since I needed treatment right away (URGENTLY, they said.) However, Alley Cat Rescue has other cats in emergency and it’s Kitten Season (I am no longer responsible for THAT because I just got neutered!) so they are financially stretched to the limits. Since Alley Cat Rescue’s resources are stretched out, my home people MUST pay them back asap.
This is where you can help.
Please Donate to my Rally for Red Fundraiser on You Caring!
By making a donation you will help my home people pay back Alley Cat Rescue so that they can continue to be an alliance for cat protection. You can learn more about them and their programs at www.saveacat.org
Here is my treatment:
Long term antibiotics
All of this totals over $1100
not including overnight stays.
