This past Saturday October 7th, we visited a community in Adjuntas, a small town in the southern-central part of Puerto Rico.
With the donations that were raised we were able to provide the following:
Hot Dogs: For all to eat while they were there, along with Chips and cold juice/water/soda.
Sandwich: The bag included a Ham & Cheese sandwich, bag of chips, a fruit cup, pack of cookies and juice, water or milk.
Groceries: We handed out a grocery bag that included rice, beans, sausages or tuna, tomato sauce, seasoning packets, UHT Milk, and a cereal pack.
In addition to this help, we also provided bags with personal care articles and special items for babies.
Along with the community leaders we were able to get into a Jeep and go to some families who weren't able to make it to the area where we set up. We took them hot dogs, sandwich packs and grocery packs as well.
During this trip we learned first hand that there is serious necessity and families that are in dire need. Our goal is to replicate this same event in different towns throughout our Puerto Rico, targeting each towns needs as well as those of individual families.
Thank you to everyone that has donated!
