The Story

The School of Peace for (All) Street Children was established to educate the children of Faisalabad located in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.  The principal's name is Ijaz Mand whose vision is to provide education to the impoverished children who have been neglected by the government of Pakistan.  All children are welcomed regardless of their race, creed and social status.  The money will be used solely to provide for all the elements necessary for learning by these forgotten children.

This is the official viewpoint on education in Pakistan.  It is not the actual policy as corruption and graft are all to common in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.  That is why we implore you to help dedicated teacher like Ijaz Mand (master degree in education) to reach more street youth to educate the future leaders of Pakistan.  Read Write Reason Educational Information in Pakistan
Education in Pakistan is overseen by the Ministry of Education of the Government of Pakistan as well as the provincial governments, whereas the federal government mostly assists in curriculum development, accreditation and in the financing of research and development. Article 25-A of Constitution of Pakistan obligates the state to provide free and compulsory quality education to children of the age group 3 to 16 years. "The State shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years in such a manner as may be determined by law".The education system in Pakistan is generally divided into six levels: Primary education (for the age from 2.5 to 5 years); primary (grades one through five); middle (grades six through eight); high (grades nine and ten, leading to the Secondary School Certificate or SSC); intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a Higher Secondary (School) Certificate or HSC); and university programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Principal Ijaz Mand writes: I have been working since October 9, 1996 to provide education for the street youths in my area of Faisalabad, Pakistan. I now have two centers with 50 students from age 5 thru 16. We give each of them school books and supplies we have gathered from donations, used books from government schools and second hand shops. Teachers are given small salaries when we have enough extra given by benefactors. Many religions and sects are represented in our school. Clothes and shoes are also given out to those students who need them when possible. We humbly ask for you to help by giving small donation so we can give more to our students.  United States partner Crossroad to Victory

Child literacy in Pakistan is one of the lowest in the world for a developed country.  This is the main reason why Bill Koeth has developed websites to help raise awareness of the plight of youth in Pakistan that are born to poverty level parents in Pakistan.  The School of Peace for All Street Children is limited by lack of finances.  A majority of people do not trust any effort for education in Pakistan due to the fact that there are those who lie, cheat and steal to line their own pockets.  As a faith based Christian outreach we operate according to strict guidelines for using all funds raised solely for the School of Peace.  Please consider donating to this outreach for the future of the students.
