The Story

In March of 2016, Coach Phil Cunningham had his left leg amputated due to fast-moving infection called necrotising fasciitis. The infection recently returned, and he had to have his right leg amputated. He is now recovering at home, with the help of his fiancé Serina and daughter Katie, but they have a long road ahead. He will endure many hours of therapy each day, and they will have to make modifications to his home and vehicle.

This fundraising page will help Coach cover the costs of these necessary modifications. Please considering donating, even if it's only a few dollars. If you aren't able to donate, please pay him a visit, give him a call, or send him a card, and share this page with your friends. Coach has touched the lives of so many in the community, and we'd love to help him through this recovery process.

An update on Coach from Serina:
He came home from Health South on Friday and spent the weekend getting adjusted to being home and entertaining several visitors (which were very much appreciated!)... Yesterday (Monday), he went back to coaching his track team at Liberty... (I didn't get to be there because I had class, but I heard it was a great practice)... He had an appointment this morning and all his stitches were removed, doc said everything looks great, and he was given the go-ahead to start the process to get ready for his prosthetic leg... after an eventful morning of going to the doctor followed by lunch with his awesome girlfriend, we picked up his girl and he headed back to practice for day 2... hopefully the hand controls will be installed in his car by tomorrow or Thursday so he will be able to drive... as usual calls, texts, cards, visits are all welcome and encouraged... Thank you to everyone for your continued support, prayers and concerns... God Bless!

In just 12 hours, we've hit 25% of our goal. Thanks for your support! The first $300 has been used to purchase a set of hand controls for Coach's vehicle. We'll post a video update once he gets it installed.

In just one hour, we're over 10% of our goal. Please keep sharing! And remember, even if you can only donate a few dollars, every little bit counts.

Coach would also love to have visitors, phone calls, and cards. Feel free to message/e-mail me for his address.
