Peter is a 13 year old Chinese boy who must be adopted before he turns 14 in April 2016. We are ready to welcome him into our family. The window to bring Peter into our home is very narrow. We need your help to enable this adoption to happen quickly.
When he turns 14, he will no longer be able to be adopted, and therefore no longer eligible to remain in his group home which includes access to his school. Peter is blind. For Peter, this is a situation of urgent need.
Please see and hear Peter at www.twentyless.com/peter/ Root for him, advocate for him by spreading the word, and keep us all in your prayers!

Who are we? We are the Gallo family. We feel Peter's home is with us and we are his family. Our 5 children are excited to welcome him; our family, church family and friends are supportive; we have been building up resources and support for his special needs; we are becoming part of the wide network of adoptive families in Chicago and beyond. We are so looking forward to Peter joining our family. Like us, he plays instruments including the piano, the cello, and the erhu (Chinese violin). He enjoys singing and works well with younger children. His opportunities to learn and thrive are better here - especially with a family behind him. Everyone needs a family!
What do we need? To meet the financial requirements to bring him home in an extremely short time frame. Fees and expenses for this adoption will run $30,000 to be divided between the adoption agency fees (about 25%), the orphanage donation fees (a little less than 20%), and the remainder going to the adoption home study and required post-adoption assessments (and translations) (c. 16%), United States government fees (state and federal), Chinese government fees (provincial and national), passports, visas, travel, and medical requirements in China. And many FedEx fees as we try to expedite, expedite, expedite. It's amazing how it all adds up. But you can make a difference with every little bit!
We so appreciate any way you can support us as we work to welcome Peter home.
Love, Michael and Rebecca Gallo and family
