Toby came to us after we saw a picture of him scared in a corner. We went to the shelter to meet him and as soon as I saw him I knew he needed to come live with us. We don't know his past but when he came home with us he was afraid of everything and everyone. He has been living a happy life with us for over a year. My family and I love him and have done everything to be able to keep him by our side happy. He has been perfectly healthy until November 24th when we noticed he was lethargic. He slept all day and didn't want to eat. We were very worried so we took him to the vet the next day and they told us he had lost a lot of red blood cells. On November 26th the doctor confirmed tha Toby had Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia and that he needed a blood transfusion or he would die. If you know anything about this desease then you know it's very scary. There is a chance he might not make it but we can't give up on him. He is a member of our family and only 2 years old. We refuse to give up on him, but we unfortunately don't have the financial means to keep going. He is know onto his second blood tranfusion because the medicine hasnt started to kick in. We want Toby to come home, please help us make that a possibility. Thank you.
