We are raising funds to help offset travel and lodging expenses while our family is in Xenia, Ohio to train with Marshall's new Autism Assistance Service Dog for two weeks.
Marshall has not yet been assigned a class date but we should have that very soon. This is a huge blessing, as this means that we have met Phase 1 of our goals (raising the $14k for the Autism Assistance Service Dog for 4 Paws for Ability) and now we move on to Phase 2, our final phase of fundraising!
We are so excited to be at this point in our journey and would not be here with out the support of our friends, teachers, the local media, businesses, complete strangers(who are now friends), anonymous persons(you know who you are) and the community-- who have embraced Marshall and our family's cause with super huge open arms. The support we have been met with is nothing short of amazing.
Our goal now is to help offset some of the cost of travel to and from Xenia, OH. The lodging for two weeks, meals, fuel, and maybe have enough left over to cover some of the items Marshall will need to have for his new best friend.
Our Phase 2 goal is to raise $4,00.00 to help with those costs. All donations will go into a savings account set up in Marshall's name and will only be used for their intended purpose (Autism Assistance Service Dog traiing class travel expenses & dog needs).
We will continue to post updates here and on Marshall's Facebook page (An Autism Service Dog for Marshall
) to keep everyone one updated on our totals. We want this to be as transparent as possible so if ever there is question about where the funds are being distributed or how they are being used-- PLEASE feel free to message me- I will gladly show any financial records we have on the account.
THANK YOU for your support! Every little bit helps. It does indeed take a village and Gretchen and I are so glad that you are a part of ours!
