A message from the Palace Restoration Committee
It is our pleasure, honor and privilege to serve His Divine Grace, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and his beloved Palace of Gold. Since 1979 Prabhupada’s Palace has greeted, inspired and transformed the hearts of tourists, community members and congregational members from around the world.
The Palace has been host to tens of thousands of pilgrims for nearly 40yrs, spreading the message of love of God as exemplified by Srila Prabhupada.
This is not a tourist attraction, this is a holy place of pilgrimage, Prabhupada’s Samadhi Mandir, and it serves as a catalyst for the continued success of ISKCON NA and Worldwide and will continue to preserve the legacy of ISKCON’s Founder Acharya A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami.
For several years we have been dealing with various leaks in the roof, crumbling concrete and other deterioration that has become potentially disastrous. There are now leaks directly on the altar where Srila Prabhupada sits and this past winter we lost our chandelier in the main entrance way as it crashed to the ground in the middle of the night.
We have been in contact with various construction engineers and architects and have plans for rebuilding the roof, creating a new welcome center and adding a Prabhupada memorial museum, but we will only be able to do so with your help.
Prabhupadas Palace is recognized by ISKCON as one of three samahdis in the world, and the only one in the west. We humbly call on the support of all of you to help spread the love and carry on this most valuable mission.
ISKCON New V and ECO-V have already supported this project with close to 1million dollars in donations which has gone to other renovation work, now the focus is on the roof. We also appreciate that some believe New Vrindaban is rich with oil and gas money but this is simply not true, we would not be asking if there wasnt a desperate need.
Please show your support and make a contribution today every dollar counts and in return you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have preserved Srila Prabhupadas home and samadhi here in New Vrindaban.
Thank you very much,
The Palace Restoration Committee
