*EDIT* Thank you for helping us reach our $1,500 minimum goal!!! Our new stretch goal is $1,750!!

(QofG) is an emerging grassroots organization and online transnational visibility project, for racialized folks, by racialized folks, dedicated to affirming, acknowledging and celebrating the genders of LGBTTQQ2SIAP+ Black, Indigenous and People of Colour. We accept nuanced and intersectional writing, art and all other media contributions and has had the opportunity to profile several community members from all over North American and some parts of Africa, who have spoken to their experiences of race, gender, dis/Ability, sexuality and more on our pages. Some individuals we have had the immense pleasure of profiling include Kai Brown (aka Studslayer), Janet MockLady Dane Figueroa Edidi, Ryan G. HindsIgnacio RiveraAlok Vaid-Menon of DarkMatterRageand many, many more.

Now, only a year later, QofG is growing exponentially!

The QofG Committee is a team of queer and trans* people from all walks of life – youth, black folks, mixed race folks, dis/Abled and neurodiverse folks, all racialized and multi-issue, volunteering their time, capacity and LOVE to this project.
QofG has garnered a social media following of over 3,000 individuals and organizations in several countries all over the world and has grown into a powerful online resource and archive for our stories and journeys of gender.

So how can you support the words and lives of those who are QueerofGender?

We want to continue to pay homage to the narratives of our communities and affirm all of our histories. We want to shift away from and decentralize white-washed, non-disabled, cis-heteronormative and all other overdone and harmful stories that perpetuate pervasive systems of oppression.

We want to validate our own experiences and give our community members the opportunity to celebrate themselves through blogging, poetry, dance and all other forms of creative expression and healing arts.

But in order to do that, people MUST be compensated for their time, effort and work as to not perpetuate the narrative that the work of those who are racialized are not worthy of payment.
Currently, all of the costs we incur for this project are paid for out of our own pockets! This is not sustainable! In order to continue to build this movement, we need the support of our global community!

Your generous donations will help support QofG in a variety of ways, for example:

  • Providing honorariums for our online contributors, online literary contest winners
  • Event planning funds for our first (possibly yearly!) art event  – venue, accessibility costs, etc
  • Advertising costs, posters, logo designs
  • Website maintenance, video/digital equipment
  • Other miscellaneous costs that contribute to the health and well-being of those involved in this project
So if you agree that our communities are deserving of more spaces to share their narratives and should be compensated for the precious words that they share, help us build a solid foundation for QofG!!!

The experiences of gender within our communties are worth much more than the airtime they receive in the mainstream.
These stories must be told and shared the world around!

If you have the money to contribute, please give what you can.
$50, $20, $10, even $5 can make a difference.

If you cannot donate, signal boost this page into the stratosphere!

Help us build community and contribute to the intricate and rich histories of our people all over the globe. Help us tell the stories of our intersections in our own ways and on our own terms.

Help us shout our existence into the distance.

Much love & solidarity,

- The QofG Crew

Hey there QofG Supporters!

We did it! We not only made our newly-created fundraising goal of $1,500 but we made our stretch goal of $1,750! So wonderful!

On behalf of myself and the QofG advisory committee members, we want to thank all of you wonderful folks for believing in us and donating. I am amazed at the willingness of everyone to support and share this project the world around. I am honoured that you would put your money towards this little dream of mine. QofG will continue to share the stories and genders of BIPOC for as long as we can. Your. Support. Matters.

Thanks again for making this fundraiser the success that it was,

Thanks to everyone who has donated thus far. We appreciate the tremendous amount of support we've received during this campaign. Thank you!

We have 8 days left to raise $1,750 so we are asking all of our previous donors to continue to share the campaign and do what they can to get us over our last goal mark. Help us share the stories of our communities and show love to all of our Black, Indigenous, People of Colour siblings.

We're almost there!
