I want to send a big thanks to all of the generous people who donated to our fundraising efforts to help the victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines. We received $430 US dollars (over 18,000 pesos) and 100% of this money went directly to the victims. The money was sent to our dear friends in Surigao, who used it to purchase rice, canned goods, noodles, bottled water and ready-to-eat snacks. These items were packed in individual containers for easy distribution and transported to Leyte. As you have probably seen, many of the victims in remote areas cannot easily be reached by the main distribution efforts by the Philippine government and other supporting countries, and that is where donations like yours really helps.
Your contributions allowed the purchase and distribution of the following:
Rice – eight 100 pound bags
Purified bottled water - 7 cartoons of 1 liter, and 3 cartoons of 5 ml
May God bless you for your generosity during the time of this tragedy. You made life a little easier for those who received this gift of compassion, and those who received it will know there are people on the other side of the world who care about them.
