Ny Nourn survived years of horrific abuse as a teenager. Just weeks after she turned 18, Ny's abusive boyfriend killed the boss at her after school job in a fit of jealousy. When Ny reported the abuse and murder, she was arrested for having failed to intervene and sentenced to life in prison.
After 16 years in prison, Ny was granted parole earlier this year. Before she could take a breath of freedom, ICE agents arrested Ny. Although a judge ruled that they could not deport her to Cambodia, a country that she has never set foot in, ICE appealed and has refused to release her.
Soon, Ny may be eligible for a bond hearing and her first chance at freedom as an adult. However, if she is granted bond, it will likely be several thousand dollars. We are raising money to free Ny.
If more money is raised than needed to pay for bond, the remainder will be used to support Ny’s transition to freedom. Thank you for your support!
