The Story

On Valentines day 2014 Cpl Sue Downes US Army Ret. came home to fire trucks and a burning home. Her home and beloved dog were lost in the fire. Sue is a two time Purple Heart recipient that lost both leggs in Afghanistan. Luckily Sue and her children were not home at the time and were not physically hurt. The home she had was a temporary residence until she was able to get the handicap accessible home she needs and deserves. She has fought many obstacles since being severely wounded and her path has been long and painful. We ask you to be kind and generous in helping us build her home and help rebuild her life.

Hi everyone. The news picked up the story and people are reaching out. We still need your help in reaching our goal. Please help us with social media in getting the word out. If we can get to $50,000 we can get trucks equipment materials  and man power to get the home started as we continue to raise funds.

Well friends in a matter of about 8 hours we raised more than $4,000. I spoke with Sue earlier and the kindness of you all means more to her than any words I can write here. I sincerely want to thank you all for your kind words and generosity. Please continue to support this and share it with your friends. If there was ever anything we could really say about facebook is that sometimes it's good for more than passing jokes and pictures to our friends. We can use it to change someones life.
