The Details:Disabled Adventure Outfitters (DAO) needs your help to get 15 teens with bleeing disorders on the river for a 1 week river rafting/kayaking adventure camp. We believe that the best way to achieve this goal is to focus on raising money one day at a time for "One teen at a Time."The operating costs (insurance, equipment, raft guides/medical staff, permits, food, camping, transportation) cost approximately $800 per Teen for an entire week camp. As we gain support, the ultimate goal is to raise enough money to get 15 teens on the river that would not normally ever have this opportunity for such a camp. The total amount of money needed is 12,000 (15 x $800).
The Program:Disabled Adventure Outfitters (DAO) is a 501 c3 non profit organization providing access to fun, adventure, and personal growth since 1998! They specialize in providing multi-day river activities such as whitewater rafting and kayaking for people with Hemophilia and other Bleeding Disorders. Over the past 2 years, DAO has been unable to provide trips for people with special needs due to may financial hardships. We hope to start running camp programs again for the summer 2015 season.

I, Dan Peterson, former DAO Program Director and on behalf of DAO, am requesting your help so that this program will continue to provide access to those in need. I'm also asking those of who have ever experienced the positive impact of this program to give what you can and to please forward this link to the people you know who have benefitted from this program. I have personally benefitted from being involved with this wonderful program and have seen how it has helped so many people. I would like to make the first donation because I believe in this program. If we all give a little, we can reach our goal and give something to this non profit that has given so much to our community and will continue to do so in the future. All donations are tax deductable and will be put directly into the DAO bank account. If you have any questions there is a link on this page to contact me or call me at (707) 206-2348.
Donation Disclaimer: Please Read!
Please be aware that when you make a donation on youcaring.com they try to have your make a $5 donation to their website. You don't have to give that. So you have to change the selfloading field to $0 so they don't charge you. Also, if you give, for example $100.00, the actual amount is $96.80 (2.9% of total + .30c) going to DAO due to the fees of WePay to process your payment. Sorry if this is confusing but these sites still seem to be the best option for us!
Thank you for your support!
