Many of our wonderful animals come to us with easy medical issues we can address quickly. But sometimes we get real zingers!
Check out Grey Tony. He came to us as a bottle baby with a Herpes infection. During that treatment he stopped eating. Eventually we were able to get him eating and partially clear up the eye.
When the time came to neuter him, his eye started up with the infection again. At this point the eye was so red, infected and irritated we knew it would have to be removed.
Eye enucleations are usually an easy process. Well we should have known better. Poor Tony's eye got enucleated and the following day blew up with an abcess. So now we have to treat the infection.
Tony will eventually be fine, but what a struggle for this sweet, young kitten.
We are raising money to cover the sudden costs that sometimes arise with rescue. Deer Creek Animal Clinic and North Phoenix Spay and Neuter Clinic are our go to vets. We would love any donation you could provide. If you are more comfortable calling and placing money on our account we think that is wonderful as well.
Either way you get a tax receipt because we are a non profit with all volunteers! Thanks for reading and helping us save lives.
