Every donation matters! Here's the story of Inder, a recent patient helped by the generous donations to the Sitapur Eye Hospital.
Inder’s Story: As the only income earning member for a large family, a hazy eyed and nearly toothless 65 year old man worked long hours in the carpet weaving industry in Khairbad India. With each day, Inder feared his eye sight would degenerate so much so that he would no longer be able to continue with his work and he and his family would be left without income and facing imminent poverty. With no means of earning, and the devastating absence of social or financial support, the fate of Inder and his family was looking grim.
How he was saved: With his crooked walking stick and his dull murky eyes, Inder came with trepidation to the Sitapur Eye Hospital Camp. Do to his lack of access to transportation, Inder was brought to the Hospital through the camp’s free service bus. He was gently ushered into the hospital by a team of dedicated professionals where his condition was diagnosed as ‘cataracts’. The timely detection, surgery and glasses provided by The Sitapur Eye Hospital gave Inder fully restored vision and enabled him to get back on his feet, back home and back to work so he could to continue providing for his family.
How your donations made this story possible: Contributions to the Sitapur Eye Hospital that made this life changing event possible for Inder were a mere $2 for the food he ate while at the hospital, $46 for the surgery to correct his vision and less than $4 for the glasses he received. As with the case of Inder and his family, any amount of kindness in contributions can make a difference to the quality of life of a needy individual.
