The Story

Henry was found as a stray by the Lancaster SC shelter, and was very weak and is extremely thin, was covered in ticks, has an infected wound on his paw, an eye infection and is ehrlichia positive.  Henry was very weak at the shelter and was immediately sent to the vet for treatment for the infections he has.  Once Henry builds some strength and gains some weight he will need more intensive treatment for the infections, ehrlichia and undergo surgery to be neutered and to remove what appears to be a tumor on his tail. Henry does not have the strength to endure treatment for everything at once, but the surgeries and additional treatment will help Henry turn the corner to start to gain his strength and health.  Please help Henry get the vet care he needs by donating to his fundraiser and sharing his story.

Henry's surgery went well yesterday, and he is resting comfortably.  We had a bit of a scare, his red blood cell count had plummeted, but he stabilized throughout the day.  Henry is home this morning with his foster, and is relaxed and content to be with his foster family.  Thanks to everyone who donated to Henry's fundraiser to help us with his emergency surgery, we are overwhelmed by your kindness and well wishes for this sweet soul!  Please continue to share Henry's fundraiser, we have a significant amount of expenses that we need to cover that have already been paid to the vet.  God bless everyone for caring so much about Henry.  It is the first time in his life that so many have cared so much about him!

EMERGENCY FUNDS NEEDED!!!  Henry is at the vet right now, his perianal tumor that he's has since we rescued him started bleeding profusely and his foster had to take him to the emergency vet.  The vet is doing diagnostics right now to see if Henry can withstand the surgery to remove the tumor, especially with his renal disease.  If we can proceed with the surgery, Buddy Rescue Foundation needs your help with the estimated $2,500 for diagnostics and surgery, which is in addition to the original amount of this fundraiser.  Henry has come so far and has done so well, we do not want to give up on him.  Please help us help Henry to continue to have the quality of life we've been able to give him.  So many people have followed Henry's story and graciously donated to help him since the beginning, please consider donating to Henry's fundraiser so he can continue to enjoy the happiness he's only recently discovered.  Thanks for your support!

Henry has a new foster home!  Henry had done so well and had a miraculous recovery with his first foster family, but now that Henry is feeling better, his needs have changed so we were in search of a new foster home.  Well, thanks to Rachel Raines and Kelly Carter and everyone who shared Henry's appeal for a new foster, Sheryl Crawford and her family stepped up to foster Henry!  Rachel, Kelly and Sheryl coordinated transport of Henry from the vet so he  can start a new chapter in his journey in life!  Henry made the move yesterday and is doing very well!!  Henry can now continue to heal in a home that will provide love and the best of care for him.  He has some canine pals to hang out with too.  Please continue to share Henry's fundraiser, we are still only half way to what we have already spent for Henry's care, his specialty diet is expensive and follow-up bloodwork is necessary to monitor his renal disease.  Please help Henry continue to heal and be happy for as long as he's with us.  We also continue to search for a foster home in PA so we can better provide the care that Henry needs!  Please call 201-264-6968 or email [email protected] if you can foster in the Berks County, PA area.  Thanks for your support!
