The Story

In order to keep themselves safe, food allergy sufferers have no other choice but to avoid the food they are allergic to. However, unlike any other disease, food allergy sufferers must also rely on the public's level of awareness to help keep them safe.

Food allergies have increased dramatically around the world and sadly, so has food allergy- related bullying. Over a third of children with food allergies have been bullied and subjected to taunting and threats related to their medical conditions. Just as importantly, around half these children did not tell their parents about these incidents.

At TRIGGER AWARENESS we believe you must educate those who do not have food allergies, in order to protect those that do. This is ‘key’ to who and what we are. Unlike any other initiative related to food allergies, our focus remains on producing and providing FREE documentary films and online videos - the most powerful awareness tool, so they may be accessed, utilized and help all in the community.

Our next documentary film will focus on the alarming issue of food allergy related bullying giving food allergy sufferers the much needed tools and skills to learn about bullying and how to best deal with it and to educate those children who, at this time in their lives, simply do not understand how harmful their actions can be.

TRIGGER AWARENESS is an independent global initiative committed to producing FREE films and FREE resources to heighten the level of education and understanding regarding the dangers of food allergies and bullying.

Until a cure for food allergies is found our MISSION is to protect and enhance the lives of children with food allergies; with your help we can achieve this.
If you would like to join our efforts, please donate now and give generously.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Fundraiser Updates

A recent study asked teenagers what would make living with food allergies better for them. The teens didn’t ask for a nut-free place to eat in the school cafeteria or special treatment. Instead, nearly 70 percent said that educating their friends would make living with a food allergy easier. Raising awareness is KEY. Please GIVE so that we can continue to produce FREE films and FREE resources to heighten the level of education and understanding regarding the dangers of food allergies and bullying. Thank You.
