Greetings! After visiting Chennai, India, last week, I was so happy to visit the Assisi School, a well-run primary/secondary school of 2,000 students, with an amazing Principal who has dedicated his life to the students. Because our Foundation supports orphaned children in this school, I decided to make this visit to see how it was progressing.
All the teachers arrived in colorful saris and greeted us as they signed in for work. The children were full of life, and the place was in very good condition. The greatest need, the Principal informed me, was that they needed to have a water filtering system installed in the school for the children. I asked what the amount would be to install it and he shared it would cost $6,000 USD or close to $400,000 Rupees.
We know this amount can be raised with the help of each person sharing a little. When I was there the temperature was nearing 100 degrees Farenheit, so water is a serious necessity. Take a minute to think of how you could help us raise this amount and pass it along to your friends and family as well. If 100 people each gave $60, we would reach our amount, Can you be one of the 100? Any amount is greatly appreciated!
