During Christmas 2013, I had the opportunity to be a volunteer at Victorious Children's Ministries Uganda. There, I got to know some wonderful children who are orphans and/or poor. I may have physically left Uganda, but a part of my heart is still there, with the children, and I want to do everything I can to improve their quality of life.
One important part in this is raising money for the orphanage to build an extra bedroom. Right now, there is a 9 sqm room for the 15 boys, while the 5 girls share a smaller room with the mother of the family running the orphanage. The plan is to build a bigger room for the boys and let the girls take over the boys' room.
Not all boys can fit in the room, and there are not beds for all of them. Hence, some sleep on the floor in and outside of the room. This is inconvenient and also means that they cannot use mosquito nets. It is my sincere wish that all children in this orphanage will be sleeping in beds and under mosquito nets.
Please help me make this come true.
