Join Torrie and Dave in continuing their work with Kampala Children's Centre in Kampala, Uganda! They will be going over to Uganda, once again, to run a technology project, lead the men of KCC and Destiny Bridge City Church in ministry and training, network with new organizations and check in and gather updates from sponsored children from Communities of Hope.
As KCC's influence and objectives have expanded through the years, bringing more people from the community onto the campus, the need for security has increased. Dave will be leading efforts with a team to install security cameras across the campus.
Men's Ministry and Training
Dave will also be leading a team to train and minister to the men on staff at KCC and at Destiny Bridge City Church. The ministry will be focused on taking a hard look at what is and isn't working in men's lives and enable the men to embrace who God has made them to be.
Networking with new Organizations
Torrie will be meeting with several existing organizations based in Kampala in an effort to provide more services and opportunities to the children (and now many young adults) living at Kampala Children's Centre and the surrounding community. These businesses and charities are already working in technology, manufacturing and finance and their knowledge and experience will assist in the efforts to support the Ugandan economy while providing local support and opportunities for KCC.
Communities of Hope Updates
Each year, as the US Coordinator for Communities of Hope, Torrie is committed to gathering, assembling and delivering quality updates to all sponsors in the US. This involves visiting sponsored children and their families, taking updated photographs, meeting one on one with the children, and partnering with COH Uganda staff to sort through updates and letters that the team gathers before Torrie arrives in Uganda.
