The Story

There's a saying...Live each day to it's fullest because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Most take this quote lightly thinking we have all the the time in the world, we think the worst can't possibly happen to us then within a blink of an eye our whole life is turned upside down and we're sitting there in disbelief asking why me?

As a group of loving family and friends we wanted to share the story of our AMAZING Natalie with you. To us she is our everything. A daughter, a mother, a sister, a niece, an aunt, and the best friend a person could ever ask for.

Natalie was diagnosed with invasive mammary carcinoma ductal triple negative breast cancer which is said to be very aggressive in its kind. Just like that Natalie's whole world has been turned upside down. She definitely didn't see this one coming. A single mother who has worked since her teenage years to support herself and her daughter Gianna is now left to think how will I do this? How will we manage knowing she is their only source of keeping a roof over their heads. It's a worry no one wants to ever face yet alone having to fight for her life on top of it but this is now Natalie's struggle and for all of us who truly love her we thought creating this site would help lighten the burden. Natalie is one of the strongest women we know, we all love and adore her but as we all know we all take a hit sometimes and sometimes that hit can really knock us down. It is then the love of family and friends steps in and with all of our hearts ask for your help in helping someone so dear and special to us.

Did you ever just meet a person so pure in their heart, this is our Natalie. Natalie goes above and beyond to be there for everyone and anyone. She won't hesitate twice to do so if she knows it will place a smile on someones face or make their life a little easier. A person like this deserves every bit of help a warm heart can provide.

Our main goal is SUPPORT- emotional, logistical, physical, and financial. The financial portion is for medical expenses that will not be covered by insurance. As she will be out of work during the treatment process she will need additional financial support for expenses such as rent, utilities, and food.

From her family and friends to you, we thank you in advance and we ask that in this time of hope you keep our Natalie in your thoughts, prayers and heart.

Sincerely, Natalie's support team... #teamnatalie❤

Hi Friends, I haven't posted in a while because we have been in a holding pattern awaiting results and instructions. Last week Natalie started an oral chemo medication to be on for 6 months. This to continue to catch any cancer cells that may have spread to another part of the body.. it's extra protection. She starts radiation treatments on July 5th . She will go everyday for 7 weeks. We are still waiting for one more pathology report to determine if we are dealing with the same cancer as originally diagnosed or possible a second one, in which she may require another year of chemo infusions. This being necessary since the 14 weeks of chemo treatments she had did not work. Nat remains in good spirits although the punches keep coming. She keeps getting up! Don't know how but she does. Please keep her and her daughter Gianna in your thoughts and prayers, as Gianna was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with type one diabetes. This is life changing, a lot to learn and adjust to. This happened while Natalie just got home from surgery, attempting to recover and Gianna was admitted to CHOP for 4 days. It's too much! My sister has a lot on her plate and she doesn't ask for help, so please think of her and let's continue to hold her up until she gets through this. She is so eager to get back to work so she can continue on with her life and not worry about finances or losing her job. On a positive note, her hair looks like it's coming back and she is VERY excited about that.
Lots of love and appreciation to all!
God bless 😘💖

I want to send a sincere thank you to all who continue to support Natalie and our family. Your prayers, well wishes, and donations are all very much appreciated.
On May 23, Natalie underwent a lumpectomy to remove the tumor from her breast. 4 lymph nodes were also removed. The tumor grew bigger therefore needed to be removed and tested.  Unfortunately, test results showed that the cancer has not responded to chemotherapy.  Thankfully, the lymph nodes were clean and no cancer spread there.  Her doctors have sent the tumor out for more testing in hopes of getting more detailed information on how to proceed with treatment.   Currently Natalie is still recovering from surgery. She had a slight infection in her incision and had to have it drained and has been put on two antibiotics, as she also is fighting a bad upper respitory infection post surgery.
It has been a rough road. 2 days after surgery Natalie's daughter was admitted to Childrens Hospital where we learned she is diabetic. She was inpatient for 4 days and Natalie couldn't be with her, which caused them
both a lot of stress.  She requires insulin shots and sugar tests all throughout the day to maintain her sugar.  She also had to be educated on a new way of eating and food conversions with her diet to balance her insulin.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers.  The road is long and seems to be getting longer.  Natalie can use all the support she can get to help sustain her and her daughter.    Thank you and God bless!

There is so much going on lately I apologize for not updating.  Natalie is past her 1st round of chemo and onto her 2nd with having had 1 treatment so far.  This by far proved to be the hardest yet. The side affects were strong and relentless. She lost her eyelashes and brows, which resulted in major eye irritation and caused her bottom lids to swell. Her bones ache, stomach still hurts all the time and she is very nauseous, and the hot flashes are unending.   She was down about 10 days before feeling some relief, but we go for treatment 2 on Monday and start all over again.   We also meet again with the breast surgeon that day to discuss surgery options with the plastic surgeons and how the mastectomy and reconstruction process will go, along with recovery.   The road ahead is still long and unpredictable.  We could not do this without your support! Thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed, called, sent messages of encouragement, delivered a meal, or just showed up to spend time.  Please feel free to share this with hopes of raising awareness of the awful debilitating affect cancer has on a person and also to show that is takes an army to help one person suffering from this vicious disease. But with the love and support of many it can make all the difference.  God bless!
