The North American Anarchist Studies Network conference (NAASN) is intended to be a space where disciplinarity and resistance can converge on Turtle Island/”North America”, and is held in a different location throughout Turtle Island/”North America” each year.
NAASN 2018 (our 8th conference!) is fast approaching, and we're excited to welcome all those attending and presenting to the conference happening in Montreal from June 1-3rd at CEDA. As many of you are aware it will be a busy few weeks for radicals in so-called Quebec, with the MTL Anarchist Bookfair happening the weekend before, and the anti-capitalist convergence in Quebec City June 7,8,9, against the G7 summit.
We're looking for donations from anyone who has the financial capacity to help fund the conference. There is no registration and admission to NAASN will be free to the public but we are hoping to cover costs of the space rental of CEDA (3000 CAD). Vegan meals will also be provided.
We are doing our best to find accommodation for any comrades coming from elsewhere, and speakers will be receiving more information shortly on the conference schedule and accommodation/accessibility. Organizers are continuing to apply for grants.
If you are able to help out in any way, including reallocating institutional funding, please let us know. If you cannot donate large amounts no worries because small amounts go a long way! Anything helps! (American comrades - because of the conversion rate your dollar will go far).
