The Montebello Pet Fair was started in 2015 by a small group of community members in Montebello. 2016 was our first large fair and we had over 50 vendors/nonprofits/community groups participate with well over 200 attendees.
The 3rd Annual Montebello Pet Fair is happening Saturday November 4, 2017 from 10am to 4pm at Montebello City Park (Montebello, California). Our event is completely volunteer organized. All funds that we raise go directly to paying for supplies, equipment, printing, and event fees (city, insurance, security).
Our estimated expenses are as follows:
Parks & Recreation fee: $261
Temporary Use Permit fee: $155
Printing costs: $855 (this includes staff tshirts, banner, flyers, event booklets)
Equipment costs: $300 (this may be more if we cannot find a sound system to borrow)

We have 5 sponsorship levels set for businesses to choose from.
Horse Sponsorship Level - $300
Cat & Dog Sponsorship Level - $200
Rabbit Sponsorship Level - $100
Iguana Sponsorship Level - $75
Hamster Sponsorship Level $50
The benefits of sponsoring are applicable to those businesses attending the fair and those who do not. The only exception would be you wouldn’t be at the event to briefly tell about your business from the stage. Please see the attached document noting the details of our sponsorship levels. Let us know if you are interested in sponsoring. If your donation is above what are sponsorship levels are we can figure out a way to make your donation the most effective for your business. One possibility could be noting that the fair is brought to you by “Your Business Here”.
Donating equipment and supplies
Some of our funding goes toward equipment and supplies. If you would like to donate and or loan the fair equipment or supplies please look over the list below and let us know what you would like to donate. Every donor will be thanked and those who have donated or loaned a large piece of equipment will be noted as one of our horse level sponsors.
Generator (this will depend on the sound system we have)
Sound system (One that will work for music performances)
600+ feet of thin rope
50 pet bowls
Crayons for used by children attending the fair. Possibly 30 boxes.
Cases of water/snacks for volunteers
This year's event booklet will be an item that attendees can bring home and use. It will have a section for pet owners to put relevant information about their pet including vaccine dates veterinarian number and other important information. So if anyone puts an advertisement in the booklet it is not just something that will be tossed out at the end of the day.
