The mountains of northern Thailand are home to about hundreds of ethnic minority groups (with a population of about 1.2 million), each with their own language, customs and traditions, and are known more commonly as the Hill Tribes of Thailand. As subsistence farmers and hunters without citizenship rights (rights to own land, rights to government health care, rights to vote), limited educational options and discrimination at every level, Hill Tribe people live deep in poverty. Often at the mercy of seasonal droughts, these farmers are also targeted by human-sex traffickers promising "work and care" for their sons and daughters in the city to bring back money for their families and by illegal drug lords who persuade villagers to plant and harvest opium for heroin.
ITDP (Intergrated Tribal Development Program) a faith-based advocacy group for the Hill Tribes of Thailand works tirelessly to fight for justice and better quality of life for the Hill people. By building clean water infrastructures, schoolhouses, education in advance agriculture and much more, ITDP allows the Hill Tribes of Thailand to witness the gospel of Christ in action to their families, communities and personal lives each day.

By partnering with our longtime friends at ITDP, First Chinese Baptist Church's 2015 mission team's goal is to build a clean water infrastructure for a village-community that's been on ITDP's long wait-list of villages suffering from unclean water sources, often cooking, cleaning and drinking disease-filled water.
Each clean water infrastructure (comprised of a community water tank & water filter, pipelines, and controlled faucets throughout the village) isn't without its cost and labor.
But with the help of our communities (both far and wide, young and old) we can help make this a reality.
So please help us send our amazing 2015 missions team:
by helping us to completely fund this team (in raising its team goal of $18,500) to bring clean water and living hope in God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit to our brothers and sisters in Hills of Thailand who desperately need it.
*Please allow us to thank you and send a tax-deductible charitable contribution receipt by providing your first and last name & email when you hit donate.
*each individual team member is tasked with raising $3,100, which is exactly 1/6th of our total team goal of $18,600. Donating to our team page or to any of our individual pages will go to the total team goal of $18,600.
