I went on my first Mission in 2006. That year, we saw a lady with very high blood pressure. She was treated and given medication to last three months. I remember her well because the following year we had the health-fair at the same location and she was there. This time she was walking with a crutch due to paralysis on one side due to a secondary stroke. Because of cost, she was forced to make the medication she received from us last for six months, and had not gone to the doctor since we left. I have been doing annual health missions from that that point on.
As a little girl, I got a free pair of glasses from a mission group that came to my school. Before that I did not know or realize that I was not seeing properly. I want to share and make a difference in someone’s life the way someone made a difference in mine. I am blessed to be in a profession where I am trained to help. I am also blessed to be surrounded by a group of individuals with similar dreams to help others, together we form Caring Hub our mission is to lessen suffering and bring rays of hope into the lives of the under-served through health education, self-empowerment and healthcare services locally and internationally. I need your help for the next trip July 8th to 14th 2016. Please donate supplies, time/skill or money. visit our [email protected]
