Dear Friends and Family,
On July 8thwe embarked on a journey that changed our lives forever. When we arrived in El Castillo, Nicaragua, we felt an immediate connection with the people that lived there. They were some of the most selfless, caring people we have ever met. During our trip, we created bonds with them that we will never forget.
As soon as we were on our way back, we immediately thought of ideas to help out the community that embraced us with open arms. Remembering back to the days of our intensive labor, we thought of the insufficient amount of supplies and the broken equipment that they were using. Not only did they lack proper gear such as boots and working gloves, but they also lacked appropriate sports equipment. They played soccer barefoot on a concrete field and played baseball with broken bats and ripped mitts. We knew that by raising money to purchase both construction and sports equipment we could significantly benefit the village.
Building everything they need by hand, such as houses, sidewalks, soccer fields, etc, El Castillo tries to be completely self-sufficient. Your donations will go towards providing them with needed equipment (see below), making their every day lives a bit easier.
Together we can make a change!
Thanks in advance for your generous support,
Jared Rothstein and Jade Marcus
