She inspired a lot of people and even in her loss she's an inspiration.
-Secretary of State John Kerry
April 6, 2013 is a date that will forever remind us of life's fragility. Our friend and inspiration, Anne Smedinghoff, was taken from the world far too soon, but not before making a profound impact on everyone lucky enough to have known her.
Anne accomplished more in her life than most could hope to accomplish in multiple lifetimes. She was a diplomat, an adventurer and an admirer of all things new and different.
In honor of Anne's life, her friends and family have worked with Johns Hopkins University to establish a fund to help support students who wish to study abroad but need extra funding to do so.
Thank you for your support in helping us to honor the walking inspiration that was Anne Smedinghoff. Please feel free to post your favorite stories about Anne in the comments section!
