The Story

On August 6th 2013 Jessica received the terrible news that her husband SSGT. Ryan Austin was involved in a terrible accident that took his life. She is currently 33 weeks pregnant with their first baby and stationed overseas in Germany. Currently away from most of her family and friends Jessica is taking this day by day...hour by hour. This fundraiser will help cover some of the most difficult months which lie ahead for Jessica and Baby A. Trying to relieve stress to allow her to appropriately mourn the loss of an amazing man, her husband. To those of you who did not have the true pleasure of meeting Ryan Austin before his passing know he was an amazing man. So thoughtful, caring and compassionate for life. He would help a total stranger in need if he had to. His love for his wife and unborn baby showed through so clearly and effortlessly in his eyes. The world has lost a great Airman, many people have lost a great friend, a wife has lost the love of her live and a baby will never know its father. We will never understand why God takes the best, but now an angel in heaven Ryan is laid to rest.

Wether your local or not, have been blessed to be apart of the Austin's lives or not this woman and her baby are the most deserving of all our love and support. This is about showing Jessica she is not alone. This is about showing another person whose world has been turned upside down that there is still good in the world. This is about baby A and ensuring this baby will have the best possible life under the circumstances. No amount of money could ever take away the pain or wipe away the tears but it will take a great deal of stress off of the shoulders of this amazing wife as she prepares to start over.

We sincerely appreciate any and all help and prayers for Jessica and Baby A.

"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow."

Thank You for your support.

Ryan was officially laid to rest yesterday 8/20/2013. Although I personally could not attend I am overwhelmed by the pictures I have seen posted online. Thank You to everyone who has supported Jessica with your kind words, prayers and financial support on this page. Your support has meant the world to her and has truly touched her heart.
Here are some of the stories which show pictures of Ryans Funeral.

RIP Ryan. An amazing man, a wonderful husband and father, a true devoted Airmen.

God Bless Everyone for their continued support of Jessica and Baby A.

Jessica has officially started the long journey back to Kentucky to be with her family and friends and to put Ryan to rest in his home town. She has word that he has safely arrived to Dover AFB and then will continue on to KY.

Ryan's brother Nathan did an interview with a local news station that had contacted us off of this page. You can view that touching video here.

The days have not gotten any easier for Jessica as she recalls the last night she slept next to her soul mate and the memories of their years together fill her daily thoughts.

Please continue to uplift her with your prayers and words of kindness and support.

Please continue to share this page as much as you can and THANK YOU to anyone and everyone who has supported Jessica and Baby A so far. As our words cannot take away her pain, her words of thanks will never truly show you how much you are appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who has shown support for Jessica and Baby A. I can tell you she is completely amazed by all of you and the pure generosity people have shown. She has made an update to the current situation and I wanted to share it with all of you, "I ended up asking for an appointment today, and they graciously saw me on a training holiday. I have a nice big ol' baby BOY in my belly. He is perfect. His heartbeat was 155. I did get to see him on ultrasound.
Because of my chronic hypertension, they have recommended me to be induced. They are putting it in my paperwork and allowing me to request/recommend I be induced on 9/22, starting the process night-time 9/21 - in hopes of a 9/22 baby.
Ryan really wanted us to have the baby on 9/22 due to it being his Mother's birthday.
It looks like it just might happen. I am cleared to fly."

Although just a brief update the last few days have been very challenging for Jessica, she extends her utmost appreciation to each and every one of you who have joined her journey thus far and your continued prayers for strength in this time of need.

God Bless!
