Honoring the memory of Madan Sheina
It is very difficult to articulate the sense of pain our business feels at the sudden loss of Madan Sheina, Ovum’s practice leader for Information Management.
Instead of attempting to convey a very personal sense of sadness and loss, we have chosen to remember him in terms of the profound impact he had, and will continue to have, on our business, our research, and our clients. This memorial fund is to honor his memory.
Madan possessed a rare combination of talents which allowed him to become a world class analyst, and just as importantly saw him develop into a respected manager, a generous collaborator, a fierce ambassador for quality, and always great fun to be around. He was also a true gentleman.
He was courageous in his ideas and but also highly conscientious – so whilst Madan wasn’t afraid to challenge the status quo (he held firm on his views on the use of business intelligence and information management technology), he would always communicate eloquently, blending a clear passion for his subject with respect for other views. This was always peppered with his smart and very British sense of humor. Madan was one of those people who never had to raise his voice to be heard – when he spoke, people listened.
His passion for information management was infectious and his insight into the market was admired by clients and colleagues alike. Madan’s professional legacy lives on: His concepts, ideas, and opinions remain as the focal point for our work on information management. In doing so they form an enduring legacy that everyone in Ovum proudly stands behind, as we honor one of the very best there was.
All funds raised will go directly to the family of our colleague and friend, Madan Sheina.
