Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Methodist church in House. Graveside services at Mcalister cemetery will follow. Once again, I would like to thank everyone who has donated to this cause, all of the kind posts, phone calls, and personal support the Webb family has received. Donny was a very loved man and he will be greatly missed.
Donny passed away early this morning. He died from an infection he caught in the hospital due to his compromised immune system. Thank you for all of the prayers and support these last few months. He was truly appreciative of everything you all did. Please keep Pat and her family in your prayers. It is going to be so hard for them to say goodbye to such a good man.
The Webb family needs lots of prayers right now. Please keep them at the top of your list. Donny is fighting hard but he needs all the help he can get.
Pat and Rodney are back in Lubbock . She says Donny looks really bad but the doctors are optimistic. He has been diagnosed with C-diff, which is an intestinal infection. They are also doing a CAT scan because they are worried about changes in his behavior and confusion. Good news is that his bone marrow biopsy came back clear. He is in it for the long haul. Keep the prayers coming!!
Donny is in the oncology unit at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. He got a bone marrow biopsy, 2 units of blood and platelets, but now he is retaining fluids and may need a drain tube to relieve the pressure on his abdomen. Doctors and nurses are determined to get him going again. Pat will go back up there tomorrow to see what they have figured out. In the mean time, please keep them in your prayers.
Donny was supposed to start chemo on January 6th but his white blood cell count was still too low and his hemoglobin still low! He is still tired, having problems with legs swelling and no appetite. They are holding off on chemo for 3 weeks. Lots of resting up and working on building up some muscle. Steroids will help that out for the next few weeks!
This fundraiser will end in 3 days but lots of prayers are still needed!!
Thanks again for all the donations!!
Thank you sooooo much to everyone who donated on this site. You have no idea how much this is appreciated by Donny (even though he didn't want all of this attention!) I also want to thank those who donated in person, the House Baptist church congregation and community members who gave very generously and to those who brought food, meat, etc. Also thanks to those who helped Seth get Donny's crops in the ground. None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you. He is so blessed to live in such a wonderful place where people go out of their way to help those in need!!
If any of you EVER need help, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again!
Donny is home from the hospital, but he is tired, weak, and no appetite. He will go back for more chemo after Christmas. They decided to give him a two week break. Prayers would be appreciated!
Today is Donny's Birthday!!
