This fundraiser is to assist with funeral expenses for Greg "Cincinnati Red" Daves. He died of a heart attack at age 40 on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Victorville, CA.

One of Greg’s greatest passions was performing as a professional wrestler. He debuted under the ring name Blackjack Daniels, but soon renamed himself Cincinnati Red and joined the National Wresting Conference, where he debuted on March 17, 1995.

Greg wrestled throughout the United States as well as in Mexico and Europe. He worked with a number of hall of fame wrestlers throughout the 90’s, such as "Superstar" Billy Graham, Yokozuna, Honky Tonk Man, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Terry Funk, Sabu, Mick Foley and Rob Van Dam, just to name a few. One special wrestling moments included facing Jerry “The King” Lawler on television. Another was having his signature long, red hair cut by Rowdy Roddy Piper in a “Hair vs Badge” match.

Greg defeatedLittle Guidoon May 19, 2001 to capture the Millennium Pro WrestlingWorld title, which he held for 168 days. He also won a number of other championships including the IWF Western State Championship, IWF World Title (2 times), UIWA Tag Team champion (3 times), and UIWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Greg and fellow wrestler Gary Key opened up The Grappler's Den, a wrestling school based in Oxnard, California. He taught in several other schools throughout California as well. Greg helped to train many wrestlers over the years, the most notable being Samoa Joe of TNA Wrestling fame.

After retiring from from active wrestling, Greg continued to work as a promoter and booker with New Japan Wrestling, the Empire Wrestling Federation, and most recently, the Alternative Wrestling Show.

Our family would like to express our deep appreciation for everyone who came to the memorial service yesterday. It meant so much to us that so many of Greg’s friends came to pay their respects and to join us in celebrating his life. Those who spoke in tribute were amazing. Thank you for allowing us to see him through your eyes. We are also very grateful to all who have given so generously toward his funeral expenses. I think he would be overwhelmed to know how much he meant to all of you.
