To our Friends and Neighbors,
On Friday afternoon, our world changed forever when we lost our Benny Boo. Over the last few days we have struggled with our loss and pulled together as a family to try to come to grips with what has happened. Bennett was always smiling and happy and brought so much joy into our lives.
We are so very grateful to Worcester and the surrounding communities at the outpouring of support. From the passersby that tried their best to keep my little boys heart beating to the EMT's and UMASS staff that helped us to say good-bye. We have watched teary eyed as strangers have created a memorial of stuffed animals, cards and flowers for our little man. Neighbors from all over have been showing up with food and well wishes for my family. The compassion of the Worcester PD has been overwhelming as well as the charitable support of the Unitarian Universalist Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Caswell-King Funeral Home. We are deeply touched by the generous giving by family, friends and strangers alike on Bennett'syoucaring.comfundraising page.
We cannot believe the show of community, support and love that has occurred since Friday. It has done a tremendous amount to help us get through the last few days, there have even been some smiles and laughter. We feel that we are surrounded by some of the most amazing people and we are so proud to call Worcester our home!
With all of our love,
The Roaf Family
