Mark was critically injured while riding his motorcycle on June 27 when he was hit head-on by an alleged drunk driver that crossed the median. He is an active, adventurous man dedicated to his work as an operating room technician.
After being raised in Schenectady, NY Mark traveled around working in hospitals and surgical centers. He eventually found Walnut Creek, California and liked it well enough to settle there.
While still in critical condition, he has been improving. He has a lot of work ahead of him though to resume his active lifestyle. We are still hoping that will be possible as we can't imagine Mark doing anything other than his trips and adventures.
His medical and rehabilitaion costs will be very high and many have expressed a desire to help. We have set up this site, with our extreme gratitude, to make that easier for him.
From Mark's niece:
If you've ever met my uncle Mark, you know what a funny and athletic guy he is. Last week, on his way home from work, he was hit head-on by a drunk driver. He's in critical, but (at last) fairly stable condition, and he has a long road to recovery ahead. If you know him and would like to help us fund-raise, thank you so much! My family and I are grateful for donations, positive thoughts, and good wishes from everyone.
