Lee Allen, left his home February 18, expecting to return home three weeks later. As a truck driver, he was accustomed to spending time on the road in order to provide for his family. What Lee, his wife, and the rest of his family never expected, was that they would see him the very next day after being injured in a major multi car pile up in Pennsylvania. Lee was trapped inside his semi for 90 minutes before being rescued. The following day he was air lifted to Massachusetts General Hospital. He suffered a serious spinal cord injury that has left him paralyzed from the neck down, and the doctors have said that it is permanent. Though we all know miracles can happen, they are trying to accept their "new normal". Lee is still in the hospital with his wife, Elizabeth, by his side. Even with insurance, the medical bills will rack up, not to mention the cost of equipment Lee will need or alterations to make their home more accesible. This amazing family has so many challenges ahead of them, any amount you can donate will help ease the financial burden allowing them to focus on getting Lee the best care possible and getting him home to his family.
