Posted on January 9, 2014Kennedy continues to have seizures almost every day, but medication has lessened their frequency and severity. Unfortunately the medication is also making her hair fall out in clumps so we are now tapering her off that medicine and starting a new one that we hope will help keep her seizures under control with less side effects. Tomorrow she goes to West Chester University for her orientation and she will be moving in on January 19. This is both exciting and scary. We are praying that her seizures will be controlled enough so that she can have a successful semester. The fundraiser that was held for her in December was very successful and we raised a lot of money toward her service dog. We still have some unpaid doctor and ambulance bills to pay so support is still needed as well as prayers for her as she tries to enter college. Thank you to all who support her.

Posted on December 20, 2013Kennedy has good days and bad days. We have had 3 trips to the hospital in the last 2 weeks. Twice for nonstop seizures and once because she fell down the stairs during a seizure and sprained her ankle and bruised her leg. I cannot wait until she can get her service dog to look out for her and help her. Her fundraiser last weekend raised a lot of money to add toward her goal, but we will still need more for her medical expenses and for her to travel to Colorado when Figment is fully trained. Thanks so much to all of you that are supporting her cause.

Posted on December 13, 201312/13/ 13 Kennedy has had no seizures for 24 hours! This has been the first time since October 6th that this has happened! We are hoping and praying that the new medication will make her have less and less seizures. We are having a huge fundraiser this weekend at Trifecta Kennels in Gilbert on Sunday 12/15 from 12-3pm. There will be free refreshments. We are having a 50/50 raffle and also a raffle for some great prizes like a flat screen tv, a keurig and a kindle. We are hoping that this will put us a long way toward our goal.
