Scotty is almost a 7year old shih tzu who has been with me since he was 8weeks old. He is my world and I am his universe. Scotty has had some bumps along the road. He was attacked by a dog that was off leash 3 years ago, on July 22, 2011, and lost his right eye. Due to the severe damage caused to his eye, we had no choice but to remove his right eye and shut his eyelid. In spite of this, Scotty loves and enjoys life to the fullest like you cant believe. I have always been up to date with all his medical and grooming, and I try to fulfill his life to the fullest by exploring new parks. Recently Scotty started slowing down and having gastrointestinal symptoms which led the Vet to believe that it could be an ulcer. We were seeing the Vet multiple times a week because Scotty wasnt getting any better. Then, on Friday, September 5, 2014, he had an ultrasound and the Vet informed us he had a tumor about the size of an egg in his intestines close to his colon. She didnt give us much hope and gave him 2 months tops. He's a young little guy whos' birthday is next week Thursday, September 25th. Today we were going in for a second opinion and it ended up being an emergency second opinion because he was in a critical state. He has been super strong throughout this process and this is his last fight. The only chance we have is to have a leap of faith and have this tumor removed because it's obstructing his stool. We have spent everything we have getting Scotty the best care at this time and now this is the last chance and we don't have the financial means to afford this surgery. They gave us an estimate of $8000.00 and this is our last resort to try to get him this surgery asap.
