Support for Eli and the Bain Family
This website has been hosted due to requests by friends and family for opportunities to support Josh and Lizzy Bain.
Their son, Eli, has been admitted to Duke Hospital and remains in critical condition. Eli was admitted Wednesday, January 22nd, for a feeding tube to help clear fluid buildup in his lungs caused by aspirating when he eats. He was given small amounts of oxygen support as well and went home Saturday, January 25th. While sleeping, he was having a very difficult time breathing and was readmitted Sunday evening. Due to his low levels of breathing and blood pressure he was placed on a ventilator and given more intense support and intervention.
In the past week, Eli has remained in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and on various forms of life-support. In addition to these recent hospital bills, the Bains have weekly therapies for Eli's special needs, co-pays for specialists, and medical bills for tests to determine his needs. They also face hospital bills for having the feeding tube equipment and oxygen at their house 24/7, not to mention gas (driving from Raleigh to Durham), parking, and meals.
Eli is such a strong fighter and is making progress each day in the wonderful hands at Duke Hospital. We praise the Lord for the healing we have already seen and pray expectantly for the healing to come!
Please pray for all the Bains! Josh and Lizzy continue to be so strong in taking care of Eli as well as their [almost] 3 year old daughter, Zoey. It is hard to be separated so much from this sweet child while Eli is in the hospital. We also invite you to volunteer any level of financial support and help in other ways as noted in the future. Thank you for loving this precious family during this difficult time.
