Today is the day! THE NEW YORK TIMES IS sending a reporter to Norms Nursing Home and will personally do a one on one interview with Norm as well as take pics of his progress! Kevin and I will be there this morning for moral support and help with questions.
We will also get his IPAD back in his hands today where it belongs with the help of the best TECH person in our area who will incorporate the 'easy to use' programs Norm needs to communicate with all of you. Norm will have a good 2-3 hours of learning it each day from someone who has the time, patience and care, whom knows and understands the urgency of getting him up and 'online' once again! We extend a HUGE thanks to our 'other' Norm who is volunteering his daily time to help 'our' Norm with this!
Once this article comes out, we are hopefull that Norm will be able to post it himself to all of you here! What a great day in accomplishments this will be to overcome this obstacle!
Thank you all once again for your patience! We will keep you posted!
Wendy and Kevin
Many are concerned that the fundraiser was about to end as we have not yet met our $200,000 goal to meet Norms expected out of pocket expenses for continued care. By the request of numerous people from around the world, I have extended his fundraiser to February 28, 2015 to allow the many fans who wish to donate to do so.
We, Norms family as well as Norm cannot thank you all enough for your generous support both morally and financially.

Hello wonderful people! UPDATE! Kevin, (his brother and I) have been nearly working around the clock to beat and meet his deadlines for all 'RED TAPE' paperwork so that he retains ALL of the support he is receiving. It's been a VERY HARD TASK. We've had to jump through many unforseen hoops on a daily basis which has required our full amount of attention and time not only behind the scenes...but many, many trips to attend meetings with staff members, lawyers, accountants, plus numerous, numerous phone calls...the list is endless...but we are getting it done 'IN TIME'!
While Norm continues to 'heal' and is making great strides daily, he will now also have the peace of mind that we are trying so diligently to provide him so he can continue to live out a worry free life with the insurmountable costs and billing coming in. Either Kevin or I are with Norm on a daily basis...and although he doesn't always remember some of the mind boggling details we relate to him and need to remind him of as we go through this process...it is underatandable as he is spending all of his energy healing and trying to remain pain free. That's what we are here for!
I continue to handle ALL of the e-mails coming in as best I can as well as the very important and foremost task of organizing ALL donations coming in from many different directions. I thank you for your extreme patience in responding to all of you one by one as I have time.
Thank you all again for your continued support. We love and appreciate every one of you!

Hello Wonderful Friends! This is Wendy Wiegert, basically Norms 'sister-in-law of 10 years. His Brother Kevin Breyfogle and I have created this fundraiser for him and I want to report that Norm is coming near home to us tonight and being place in a Nursing Home just 2 miles from us so that we can better help him and he will get the physical theray he needs to start his recovery! Yah!
The Nursing home is charging him just over $10,000 a month and that is out of pocket until he qualifies for medicaid which will be approx. 6 months from now we are told. Medical expenses at the hopsital for nearly 7 days of I.C.U. will deplete his life savings and now this.
Kevin and I cannot thank you all enough for your loving support, because without you...this would not be possible! The main thing is...he will be near us for Christmas as well and is on his way to re-couping and healing! We all NEED him! We have a HUGE goal to reach to cover all of his potential expenses and those that have already incurred...so PLEASE keep on sharing the link and post it to your FB pages, TWITTER and the like! Norm has helped sooo many in his lifetime! Time to pay it forward for someone that really deserves it! You can e-mail us anytime with questions at my e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you all and God Bless you! Please have a very Merry Christmas and hug your loved ones!
