Kara was spayed Friday morning by Maricopa County vets, picked up and kenneled at CCC. By Saturday morning she was not feeling well and after being examined it was so easy to see it was bloating! Saving Paws made the immediate decision to rush her into surgery. She was released on Sunday and she is now with a Saving Paws Rescue Volunteer foster.
This girl escaped death at county and then again the very next day. Survival rate of dogs that have this surgery can be very low. Trish & Saving Paws was very lucky to have caught it so quick. Trish was of course given the option of putting her down but would NEVER do that unless there is no hope and the dog is suffering. In this case, they chose surgery and she survived and is now recovering. The vet bill totaled $3000! Any help is towards defraying the cost is greatly appreciated. Saving Paws deals with many medical issues and ALWAYS does what is in the best interest of the dog. Please consider donating if you are able to help. Thank you!
