The Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this page. Our Dad has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy and will be starting radiation shortly.

Fighting this aggressive cancer has meant JT can no longer work and Jacque is taking leave without pay to support him through the chemo. We want to support them as much as possible during this tough time so....

We are asking our friends and family to donate to this cause to assist Mum and Dad.

If we can get to $5,000 JT's stepson Joe has committed to shave all his hair off!

When we told Mum about this she laughed but also jumped straight onto the bandwagon and has committed to shaving all her hair off too if we can raise $15,000

Thank you so much for your support!

-The Taylor family

This page has been set up by Jacque and JT's children. The funds will be put into Steve and Sarah Fong's account which we have created for this cause, with 100% of the funds raised going to JT and Jacque directly.

Please note that it may take up to 6 hours for your donation and message to show up on this page!

Hi everyone

Many thanks to you all for your continued support. We love reading all of your messages and JT draws strength knowing that so many people are behind him helping fight this battle.

We had a bit of a flat day yesterday as the Oncologist informed us that the tumour markers in JT's blood have been rising. We didn't really know what this meant but he told us that if the chemo was working the markers should remain stable (meaning the tumour is neither shrinking or growing), or the markers should go down (meaning the chemo is shrinking the tumour). JT's have been steadily rising which means the tumour is growing. This is not good news but on the upside he goes for a CT scan which will give us some definitive answers i.e. how much it has grown and if it has migrated anywhere else. We are actually so pleased to be getting a CT scan as it takes some of the unknown, fear and second guessing away and we can get some concrete answers.

Next step - if it is continuing to grow - he will go onto a different chemo regime which will mean he will be hooked up to a pump 3 weeks out of every 4. He gets to rest on the fourth week. This treatment is unfortunately not Government funded or subsidised in any way and we need to go to St John of God for this treatment. Your generous support has enabled us to immediately say a great big "YES" to this treatment and we can't thank you all enough. All of you have contributed to this chemo regime and we are eternally grateful and so very humbled to have such support.

To each and every one of you, please accept this as an individual acknowledgement of thanks from JT, myself and the family. Team JT will beat this thing!!!!

To all of our family and friends out there who have shown support not only financially but physically and emotionally - from the very bottom of our hearts, JT and I thank you all so much. There are no words to express our heartfelt gratitude. When we woke this morning and had a look at this site, we were - to put it mildly - overwhelmed and moved to tears. Your messages have really lifted JT's spirits and he feels so humbled by the outpouring of love for him.

JT had his 3rd round of chemo yesterday - 6 hours it took. Now he is at home on a pump for the next two days. This round has hit him hard and has been the worst yet so to wake up this morning and read these wonderful messages of support - he knows there are so many walking on this journey with him. Your generosity is enabling us to concentrate all our efforts on his health and wellbeing.
