Hi all! We just cannot contain our excitement! Reagan only has TWO months of treatment left! Woohoo! Her two and a half years of treatment is over on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, the day before Thanksgiving! She is feeling well and ready for the completion date. At her last appointment we worked with Dr. A to map out her end of treatment schedule. He likes the kids' last day of treatment to be when they receive their final lumbar puncture (to check the spinal fluid for cancer) and bone marrow aspiration (BMA, that checks the bone marrow for cancer). Because her last day will require sedation and recovery from those two procedures, we have decided to schedule it for Friday, November 20. That's only 54 days away! To celebrate Reagan's end of treatment, Robert and I have been working with Great Wolf Lodge to provide Reagan with a few days of magic. I know a lot of kids have a "no mo' chemo" party at the end of treatment, but we decided it would be difficult to plan a party since we have moved to another city in the middle of treatment and would want to celebrate in both. Because we could not have made it through the past two and a half years without the love, support, and prayers we have received from you guys, we want to make sure you are included in Reagan's celebration and memories. I am planning to make her a video with messages and/or pictures from anyone that has followed her journey. If you would like to send me a picture or video message to be included, we would love it! You can email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. I really want to make her something special to show her just how many people have been rooting for her this entire time.
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20
When life throws something your way that takes you from your ordinary path, it gives you the opportunity to see God's power in action and witness his love through all the people around you. The outpouring of love and support we have received on this journey is truly overwhelming. I could not even try to make a list of all that has been done for us, there are so many people that have touched our lives. With that being said, some very amazing people have been working extremely hard to put together a benefit to honor Reagan. It is called Rally for Reagan, and will be Sunday, November 17, from 11 - 4 at Stevenson Park in Friendswood. Everyone is invited to attend, and I am sure it will be a lot of fun! They have created a facebook page with all the information and updates for the event: https://www.facebook.com/rallyforreaganIf you do not have facebook and would like more information about the event you can email RallyforReagan@hotmail.com
Thank you to everyone who is organizing, helping, donating, volunteering, working, and attending this benefit for our family. You are all touching our family's lives more than we could ever express. Thank you. "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13: 34-35
On Tuesday, September 10, Chick-Fil-A in East Pearland had a Spirit Night in honor of Reagan. Thank you to everyone who lives in the area and was able to dine in or go through the drive thru to support Reagan! It was a huge success! We are so grateful that Chick-Fil-A gave us this opportunity, and supported Reagan by donating 20% of the proceeds for each receipt given for Reagan. The entire CFA team was very busy and very excited to help out. When we received the results we were blown away. They said that Spirit Nights usually raise anywhere between $50-$400. Ours surpassed that, and raised $711, plus $300 in cash donations. We are so blessed to have the support of an amazing family, church family, friends, and community.
Chick-Fil-A was so touched by our situation and blown away with the support we received they decided they wanted to do one more thing to help. They are holding a 5K Fun Run/Walk to provide financial support to Living Water International. Their hope for this event is to raise at least $5,000 for Living Water International to build water wells in Haiti. They want to change lives in Haiti with safe water. Along with this they also want to help Reagan by providing one meal a week to our family for an entire year. To do this we need 52 people to register for the Run/Walk and list RJ as your group name by Friday. (Sorry for the short notice!) The registration fee is only $15 and you can choose whether you would like to run or walk. The event will be this Saturday, September 28, 7:30am at Sagemont Church. You can register at www.cfaFunRun.com
Thank you again to everyone for your kind hearts, love, and support. We truly see God working all around us and are so blessed to have each of you in our lives!
We went to clinic yesterday ready for Reagan's lumbar puncture and fourth admission for IV Methotrexate. It turned out Reagan's ANC was still too low to proceed with treatment. We were sent home, and will continue her break from her daily chemo pill and Bactrim antibiotic. She has an appointment next Friday to check her levels again, and if they are acceptable she will resume treatment. We are praying that during this pause in treatment her little body will be able to heal from the beating it has endured for the past 3 months straight. We are also praying that she will not catch any infections while her ANC is so low, and it will be where it needs to be next week.
On a side note, if you live in the Pearland area, and would like the chance to support Reagan just by having dinner...
Thanks to the hard work of some very amazing people, Chick-fil-A of East Pearland is hosting a Spirit Night to help raise funds for Reagan's Cancer Fund on Tuesday, September 10th, from 4-10pm.
Please notify the cashier that you are supporting the Reagan Jackson Cancer Fund and a percentage of the sale will be donated to her cause. This is valid for both Dine-In or Drive-Thru.
This is only valid at the Chick-fil-A of East Pearland.

We cannot begin to express our gratitude to everyone for all the help, support, prayers, and love we receive.
Robert and Rachel
Thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed, shared Reagan's story, supported us, given us kind words, and so much more. We are incredibly blessed, and appreciate everyone and everything that is being done to help our family and Reagan.
Reagan is doing well. She ended up having some nasty side effects from her last IV Methotrexate admission, but is recovering well. At her last appointment, her ANC was very low, so she has been off treatment for a week now. We are praying that it will be higher tomorrow and she can continue on course.
She is scheduled to have a lumbar puncture tomorrow with chemo, and then be admitted again to receive a 24 hour chemo infusion over the weekend. We are praying that it will go smoothly and the chemo will pass her body quickly with no side effects.
Thank you again for all the support!
Robert and Rachel
Words cannot begin to express how truly grateful we are for all of the love, prayers, support, and generosity we are receiving. We never imagined we would receive such a strong backing, and want every person to know how much we appreciate you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We were admitted to the hospital on Friday for Reagan's third infusion of IV Methotrexate. We were hoping to be discharged today, but due to some complications late Friday, we should be leaving tomorrow. Reagan's body seems to be handling the chemo well so far, and we are praying she will pass it quickly with no side effects.
Thank you all again. We are continually encouraged by your words.
Robert and Rachel
